From Family Roots to Future Success: Elbadr Group’s Journey with “Edara”

In the heart of Shubra, Greater Cairo, where busy streets and the clatter of auto parts create a lively backdrop, a legacy of automotive excellence has taken root.

Founded in 1981 by Mr. Mohsen, this family business has become one of Egypt’s largest auto spare parts suppliers. Today, led by his sons Hossam and Hazem, Elbadr continues to thrive with a forward-looking approach.

A key element in their success has been their partnership with “Edara,” a cloud ERP system that has transformed their operations.

In this article, we’ll explore how “Edara” has helped Elbadr overcome challenges and achieve remarkable growth.

The Founding of Elbadr: From Humble Beginnings to Market Leadership

Mr. Mohsen Badr laid the foundation of Elbadr Group with a steadfast commitment to quality and customer service.

Starting from a single store, the business gradually expanded its footprint, entering the import market and dealing with over 58 international agents.

Over the years, the business scaled new heights, becoming a trusted name in both wholesale and retail sales of auto parts.

Mr. Mohsen understood the importance of staying ahead in a competitive market and continuously sought ways to innovate and improve operations.

His legacy was not just in the growth of the company, but also in the values of integrity, quality, and customer focus that he instilled in his sons, Hossam and Hazem.

Facing the Hurdles: Operational Challenges and Multiple Hats

Despite its growth, Elbadr Group faced significant operational challenges. Managing a large, diverse business required Hossam and Hazem to juggle multiple roles daily, from accounting and cash handling to inventory management and customer service.

They tried five different accounting systems, but none offered a comprehensive solution. Each system had shortcomings, leading to fragmented processes and a lack of cohesion.

Managing inventory across multiple stores was a major issue, with discrepancies in stock levels and difficulties coordinating between wholesale and retail operations, causing delays and financial inconsistencies.

Inadequate after-sales support from previous systems exacerbated these problems. Technical issues often lead to significant downtime, disrupting business operations. Hazem expressed his frustration with micromanaging:

“My hand had to be in everything, but at a certain point you will not be able to do everything, and you will have energy and limits if you do not develop.”

Hossam shared a troubling experience:

“After the death of the owner of the system, if we wake up from sleep and find a problem with the system and it does not work, we will not be able to do anything.”

The fear of system failures and unreliable support underscored the urgent need for a robust solution.

These challenges highlighted the necessity of a comprehensive ERP system to streamline operations, provide reliable support, and allow Hossam and Hazem to focus on strategic growth instead of daily operational issues.

Discovering “Edara”

Elbadr Group’s search for a new ERP system led them to “Edara,” a cloud-based solution recommended by a friend.

Frustrated with the limitations and poor support of their previous systems, Hossam and Hazem found “Edara” to be a promising alternative.

“Edara” stood out due to its user-friendly interface, which was a significant improvement over the cumbersome systems they had used before. The system’s intuitive design made it easy for their team to adapt quickly, minimizing the need for extensive training.

A major advantage of “Edara” was its reliable after-sales support. Unlike previous systems, “Edara” offered timely updates and troubleshooting, ensuring consistent operation without downtime.

Key features such as approval workflows and multi-store management addressed their operational challenges.

The ability to set up approval processes and manage sales orders across multiple stores streamlined their operations and improved coordination.

The quota management feature allowed for better inventory control across their wholesale and retail departments.

The dashboard provided real-time insights into performance metrics, sales trends, and inventory status, aiding informed decision-making.

Additionally, the cloud-based access allowed Hossam and Hazem to manage their business remotely, providing flexibility and responsiveness.

Overall, “Edara” offered a comprehensive and effective solution, transforming Elbadr Group’s business management and addressing their previous pain points.

Looking Ahead: A Future of Growth and Innovation

Elbadr Group

The partnership with “Edara” enabled Elbadr Group to overcome its operational challenges and set the stage for future growth.

Hossam and Hazem now have the time and resources to focus on their vision of expanding the business, including the ambitious plan to establish a free zone for cross-border imports.

The journey of Elbadr Group is a testament to the power of innovation and the right technological partnership in driving business success.

With “Edara,” Hossam and Hazem are well-equipped to navigate the future, honoring their father’s legacy while carving out new paths for growth and development.
