How “Edara” Boosted “Right to Dream” Academy’s Success
2 Reading minutes
Founded to facilitate young football talent, “Right to Dream” goes beyond sports training, combining soccer skills with education and leadership development to create well-rounded leaders.
As Right to Dream expanded to Egypt with the Yassin Mansour Group’s support, logistical hurdles emerged: scattered inventory, slow procurement, and disorganized finances risked slowing their mission.
Edara stepped in, delivering the structure and efficiency needed, empowering the academy to focus on its true goal.
Let’s delve deeper into this success story.
The Beginning of “Right to Dream” in Egypt
Right to Dream is a football academy founded by Manchester United scout Tom Vernon in Ghana. It is focused on developing young talents through a combination of football and education.
The academy later expanded to Egypt with investment from Mansour Group. Their unique approach integrates athletic training with personal development and leadership skills, creating a comprehensive environment for student-athletes growth.
However, despite its promising mission, the academy faced operational challenges that threatened to impede its progress.
Challenges Faced by the Academy
The academy faced two major operational challenges: First, its procurement process was severely bottlenecked by a multi-step email approval system requiring both department and HR manager sign-offs, causing delays of two or more days for basic supplies.
Second, their inventory management was in disarray. There was no systematic approach to organizing or tracking supplies. The storeroom was chaotic, and staff couldn’t effectively monitor stock levels or determine when to reorder items.
These issues highlighted the urgent need for an ERP system to streamline both purchasing and inventory management processes to support the academy’s broader mission.
Finding the Ideal Solution
Amid all the challenges that exhausted the Right to Dream Academy administrative team, discussions quietly began about effective solutions. This conversation took a more serious turn when Mr. Mina, the procurement manager, and Mr. Tamer, the inventory manager, learned about the “Edara” system.
The team then sat down with representatives from “Edara,” engaging in discussions, listening, and asking questions to understand how “Edara” could address the challenges that had accumulated over the years.
By the end of the first session, the Right to Dream team was confident that they had finally found the solution they had long been searching for.
Edara Overcomes Challenges
After implementing Edara’s system, the academy experienced significant operational improvements:
- Reports became instantly accessible with comprehensive financial data.
- Procurement was streamlined with an automated, tiered approval system based on order value.
- Inventory management became systematic with detailed tracking and proactive purchasing capabilities.
- The transition required extensive training at Badya “Palm Hills” where despite cultural differences, the team successfully adapted to the new ERP system.
The implementation transformed the academy’s administrative challenges into opportunities for growth. By streamlining operations, Right to Dream could focus on its core mission of developing young talents.
Today, “Right to Dream” stands as a model for effectively managing sports communities, achieving the perfect balance between sports, education, and efficient administrative organization.
