Edara’s Mid-Year 2025 Review
4 Reading minutes
It was a period marked by meaningful improvements tailored to real user needs and aligned with the evolving demands of the market.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the most impactful features launched during the first six months of 2025.
Controlling User Roles on Edara 3.0
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security and streamline task delegation, we introduced a new page in Edara 3.0 that gives system administrators full control over user roles in one place.
From this page, admins can easily review and adjust permissions, rename users if needed, and ensure each team member has access only to what’s relevant to their responsibilities—minimizing overlap and preventing unauthorized access.
Saving Purchase Order as Draft
If you’re working on a purchase order and haven’t completed all the details yet, you can now save it as a draft.
Once you’re ready to finalize it, simply complete the information and convert it to “Confirmed” status.
You can also change the status from “Draft” to “Confirmed” without needing to open each order page, streamlining your workflow and giving you more flexibility in managing purchase orders.
Creating Delivery Zones in Point of Sale
To streamline delivery fees and improve accuracy, you can now create custom delivery zones within the POS and assign automatic fees based on each zone.
Whether it’s by city, neighborhood, or even street, this feature saves time, eliminates manual entry, and ensures accurate invoicing—giving you greater control over pricing and a smoother customer experience.
Creating Price Tiers in POS
You can now create multiple price tiers within the POS, such as: Customer Price, Dealer Price, or Super Dealer Price, depending on the type of customer or sales policy.
This feature gives you more flexibility in pricing management and helps you easily and accurately implement various sales strategies within stores.
Sharing the Table View with Other Users
In “Edara 3.0”, you can now share saved table views with teammates, assign viewer or editor permissions, or even transfer ownership.
This makes it easy to standardize custom views across the team—no need for each user to set them up manually.
Adjusting User Defaults on “Edara 2.5”
To simplify system management, admins can now set default preferences for each user from a single page—such as warehouse, salesperson, customer, AR account, print template, and more.
This helps streamline setup and ensures consistency across the team.
Improved Journal Entry Displaying Experience
To enhance clarity and accuracy in accounting, the Journal Entries page received a major upgrade this year.
A new, more organized view now allows users to filter entries by date or posting status for quicker access.
Access to this view is permission-based, ensuring only authorized users can see it—offering both better control and a smoother navigation experience.
For greater precision, you can now view journal entries by line directly from the main list—no need to open each entry.
Your display preferences are saved automatically, making the experience faster, easier, and fully tailored to your workflow.
Displaying the Reserved Balance Details from the Warehouse Stocks Report
Instead of manually searching through unissued sales orders or pending transfer requests to find reserved stock quantities—a process that often wastes valuable time and effort—you can now instantly display all reserved balance details for any stock item directly from the Warehouse Stocks Report.
“Edara” also allows you to open any of these related documents in a separate tab, so you can take the necessary action when needed—such as completing the issuance or a transfer.
Displaying Estimated Profit in the Sales Approvals Page
A new “Estimated Profit” icon on the Sales Approvals page gives you a quick summary of order value, current cost, and Estimated profit—in the document’s original currency.
This helps you make informed decisions while keeping sensitive data secure through role-based permissions.
Adding a Default Cost Center for a Sales Store
This feature lets you assign a default cost center to each sales store and define priority settings in case of conflicts with warehouse-level assignments.
The selected cost center is automatically applied in accounting documents related to sales and returns for that store.
Scheduling Reports on a Fixed Monthly Date
Flexibility drives efficiency, and Edara has always made it easy to schedule reports at set intervals—daily, weekly, or anywhere in between.
But when it comes to supplier coordination, timing matters. That’s why we’ve introduced a new feature that lets you schedule reports for a specific day each month, ensuring they’re delivered exactly when needed, in the right format.
Auto-Assign Batch Numbers in Bulk Issue Using FEFO
To simplify bulk issuance of batch-tracked items, we’ve introduced automatic batch number allocation based on the FEFO method (First-Expired, First-Out).
When enabled, Edara automatically selects batches with the oldest expiry dates—no manual input required.
This ensures more accurate stock management and improves efficiency, especially when handling large quantities or working under time pressure.
These updates in Edara reflect the commitment to enhancing user experience, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
