With the March 2025 updates, you can now browse journal entries more structuredly, add discounts and taxes directly in purchase orders for improved transparency, and automate batch selection for smarter inventory management—along with several other enhancements.

Organize Journal Entries Efficiently Using New Layout

Viewing journal entries is now more organized and intuitive. We’ve developed a new layout to allow users to filter entries by date and posting status, ensuring quick and accurate access to data.

With this update, you can also browse journal entries directly from the listing page, making it easier to review multiple records at once without navigating between screens.

Additionally, we’ve introduced an advanced permission control: this journal entries listing page will only be available to users with the necessary permissions, ensuring that data is displayed based on assigned roles and access levels.

Add Discount and Tax Columns to Purchase Order Lines

Managing purchase orders has never been more transparent. You can now add discounts and taxes directly to the purchase order, providing a clear view of the final cost before approval.

No more manual calculations or additional reviews—all financial details are displayed on the same page, allowing for more accurate decision-making and streamlined purchasing processes.

Print Purchase Order

Printing a purchase order is now just a click away! You can now easily generate a hard copy or digital version of your purchase order directly from the system, making it easy to review and share with suppliers.

With this feature, all essential order details are neatly exported, ensuring faster documentation and improved workflow efficiency.

Auto-Assign Batch Numbers in Bulk Issue Using FEFO

Managing stock items with multiple batch numbers requires a delicate balance between smart inventory management and quality assurance.

With batches having different expiration dates, making the right decision during bulk issuance can be challenging, especially when time is critical.

We’ve developed an automatic distribution mechanism in Edara based on the “First Expired, First Out” (FEFO) principle. This ensures that products nearing expiration are issued first—without any manual intervention.

When performing a bulk issue with this feature enabled, the system prioritizes batches with the earliest expiration dates, assuming that this reflects the actual stock movement.

Note: This feature is available only for stock items with a batch number and expiration date.

Add Salesperson Field to Sales Quote Page Header and Listing Page

To enhance sales process management, we’ve added a salesperson field to the quote page header and listing page, ensuring that each quote is assigned to the relevant salesperson.

Additionally, salespeople will only see their assigned quotes, providing better control, improved organization, and enhanced efficiency in managing sales.
